During this week the Club will educate and empower listed building owners like yourself, providing you with information on where to turn for support and giving you access to help and advice to solve your problems. Each day we will cover a different topic from windows in listed buildings and an insurance health check, to advice on becoming a listed home owner and sourcing trusted suppliers and tradesmen. The week will conclude with The Listed Property Show, taking place at Olympia London on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th February.

Here is a taster of what will be happening throughout the week, and how you can get involved:

Monday 19th February – Windows in Listed Buildings

Join us as we dispel myths surrounding double glazing, the repair and maintenance of traditional windows, and the effectiveness of secondary glazing. We will be enrolling the expertise of The Listed Property Show exhibitors who will be providing helpful information and advice during the day.

Tuesday 20th February – Take a 10-minute Insurance Health Check!

Even if your home insurance is not due for renewal, why not let the insurance team give your current home insurance policy a health check. Unauthorised works by previous owners, the demands of your conservation officer, specialist-planning needs – should all be given consideration when insuring a listed home. Wednesday 21st February – Quick-Fire Conservation Quiz

Do you have a question that you feel might be too small or not important enough to ask? Maybe you are unsure about the advice of your builder or tradesmen, or maybe your local council charges for one-off advice. Put the Club’s in-house Conservation Advisors to the test! Owners who are not a member of the Club usually do not have access to Peter & Craig, so this is a great opportunity for you to draw on over 20 years of expertise. Call 01795 844939 to speak with our Conservation Advisors.

Thursday 22nd February – Finding and choosing specialist tradesmen and suppliers

A quick trip to the local hardware store is unlikely to be fruitful for a listed property owner – a Google search is also unlikely to leave you any wiser as to what your home requires. Discover the Club’s Suppliers Directory and we will be revealing top tips for sourcing and choosing reliable tradesmen and suppliers on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Friday 23rd February – Becoming a Listed Homeowner & New Owners

As a first time or potential owner of a listed building there will no doubt be questions that you will have. What does the listing mean? What works can and cannot be undertaken? Am I liable to put right unauthorised works by previous owners? What is Listed Building Consent? The Club’s Facebook and Twitter pages will be sharing helpful advice and information and we welcome you to post your questions to our experts on our social pages, or call the Club on 01795 844939. Saturday 24th February & Sunday 25th February – The Listed Property Show
