Local Campaign Results

The Club’s primary goal is always supporting our members with the challenges of owning a listed building. We actively campaign in all areas of government, from Westminster to your local town hall.

Over the past month we have been contacting a number of listed building owners to ask them about the challenges they have been facing, to try and get a clearer idea of where problems are in the present local planning system.

The Club would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has responded to us. Every insight into the experiences of owners on the ground level is extremely valuable to us, and helps us to focus our campaign work and find the issues where we can have the most impact.

The submissions we’ve received will be turned into a case study on local council services and form the basis of a recommendation from the Club to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

To read the full story, see the latest issue of Listed Heritage, the Club’s 155 page bi-monthly magazine. Every issue includes a dedicated section on our lobbying efforts, as well as news, features and technical guidance from across the heritage sector.
